This privacy policy explains how Emmanuel Electricals Ltd (“2ES”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal information when you use this website, call us or ask us for a quote. We are the data controller for this information.
Who we are
Emmanuel Electricals Ltd, Sunbury Court, Manor Road, Barnet EN5 2JH. Email: emmanuel@2es.uk. Phone: 07534 250791.
What we collect
- Quote and booking requests: the service you need, how urgent it is, your postcode and (optionally) address, type of property, preferred date and time, your name, phone number, email address (optional), any message and any photo you choose to upload.
- Call-back requests: your name, phone number, when you’d like us to call and an optional note.
- When you contact us directly by phone, email or message: the details you give us.
- When we carry out work: the property address, job details, certificates and invoices.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, call you back, give you a quote and arrange a visit.
- To carry out the work, issue electrical certificates and notify Building Control or the network operator where the law requires it.
- To keep records for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
- To improve our website and services.
Our lawful bases are: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing our contract with you, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in running and improving our business.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Website hosting: Hostinger, which hosts this website and its form submissions.
- Email: our email providers: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), which sends the emails this website generates, such as form notifications and confirmations, and Microsoft 365, which receives them.
- Instant lead alerts: when you send a form, a short summary (name, phone, postcode and job details) is sent to our own phone using Twilio (SMS) and/or CallMeBot (WhatsApp) so we can respond quickly.
- Cloudflare: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It checks your browser when you use a form and may receive your IP address and basic browser information. It does not set advertising cookies.
- Google: this website loads fonts from Google Fonts and our Contact and Areas pages show an embedded Google Map. These services may receive your IP address.
- Building Control bodies, our NICEIC certification scheme and the electricity network operator, where required for notifiable work.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
When you send a form, a copy of your enquiry is stored securely in this website’s admin area as well as being emailed to us, so it can’t be lost. Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted within 12 months. For customers, we keep job records, invoices and certificates for at least 6 years for tax and legal purposes, and certificates may be kept longer as a record of the electrical work carried out at the property.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Ltd, to understand how visitors find and use this website (for example, which pages are viewed and whether someone taps our phone number or sends an enquiry). This helps us improve the site and our advertising. These cookies are only set if you choose Accept on our cookie banner. If you choose Reject, no analytics or advertising cookies are set, although Google may receive basic, cookieless signals (such as a page having been viewed) that do not identify you.
Cookies used if you accept: _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics, kept for up to 2 years). Your choice is remembered in your browser so we do not ask again. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Read more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
WordPress may also set essential cookies needed for the site to work; these do not need your consent.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email emmanuel@2es.uk.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
